Yoga can help people find their center both figuratively and literally. If you want to have a career that allows you to care for your body and mind, you may decide to open a yoga studio. However, you won’t find the peace you’re looking for if you can’t pay the bills and get people to come to your classes. Here are some tips on how you can get more attention for your new yoga studio.
Create a Unique Personality
Many people assume that yoga is yoga and nothing separates one yoga studio from another, but you can prove them wrong by standing out.
First, ask yourself some basic questions about your studio. Who are your customers? What are most yoga studios in your area lacking that you can include? What mood do you want to create and how can you create it? For instance, have you had advanced training and got additional qualifications that other yoga teachers may not have? Perhaps you have attended one of the best yoga teacher training ny instructor programs, so this can be a unique selling point for you.
You may decorate differently and interact with your audience differently if you are working with single, young professionals as opposed to families. Also, you can try to decorate in a new way that isn’t exactly what other people expect.
Start Marketing
All new yoga studios must have a marketing plan to promote the studio. Yoga marketing often relies heavily on pictures and videos to garner attention. You should take plenty of pictures of your studio’s ambiance as well as different challenging positions that people may want to learn. If you want to establish a larger online following, you may even decide to offer online instructional videos or videos of whole classes.
If you’re not sure where to start with your marketing, you can talk to a company that has experience with yoga marketing. They can give you advice about what your audience will likely expect and what strategies tend to work best in this market.
Wear Merchandise
When you go out in public, you should promote yourself by wearing merchandise from your studio. You can easily get tee shirts, hats, and backpacks with your name and logo on them. When someone asks more, you can give them a business card. You should also wear your merchandise in online videos to help establish brand identity.
Offer Coupons
People love a deal. However, giving too much of a deal can actually hurt your business. In order to promote yourself in the beginning, offer a highly reduced introductory offer for anywhere from six months to a year of classes. This will help get people in the door to experience the services and hopefully get others to join at full price.
You can achieve success with your yoga studio as long as you get people to sign up for your classes in the beginning. While opening the studio can be stressful at first, you will hopefully come to nirvana.
