Backward Design, an essential part of the UbD framework, is a three-stage process to assist teachers in designing curriculum and assessments around big ideas, essential questions, and authentic assessments.
- Identify the results.
- Determine acceptable evidence.
- Then, and only then, you can plan learning experiences and instruction.
