Lunch breaks are crucial to our ability to create, solve problems and communicate effectively at work. That hour, while it might not seem super important, provides a much needed break for your body and mind that allows you to return ready to take on everything on your to-do list. But not enough people understand the benefits of a true break from work, in fact only 19% of American workers admit to taking a full lunch break away from their desks every single day.
So how would this change our offices and the workforce overall if everyone participated in a real lunch? We would be more productive, have a lower risk of burnout and would become more successful over time by prioritizing mental health. Not only that, but we would also increase our time to take in new content, which can inspire us to try out new ideas and get creative at work.
