In order to stop the spread of coronavirus, you will need to do what you can in order to protect your employees. This may require that you make some necessary changes to your place of business. Fortunately, you can easily protect your employees during the pandemic by doing the things mentioned below.
Temperature Checks at the Door
Your employees may be sick and not even know it. You can help identify these individuals by doing temperature checks at the door. If you do find that an employee is running a fever, you need to send them home immediately. This can help keep the virus from spreading to customers and other employees.
Have Sneeze Screens Installed
One of the best ways to protect your employees is by having sneeze screens installed. They will provide a barrier between your employees and others that visit your place of business. Sneeze screens can be very beneficial for businesses that experience a lot of customers or visitors like hospitals, grocery stores, pharmacies, or banks.
Allow for Social Distancing
In order to stop the spread of the coronavirus, you need to make sure that your place of business allows for social distancing of your employees. Each of your employees should be at least six feet apart. You may need to reconfigure desks or change your employee’s job duties slightly so that they don’t need to be so close together when they are working.
Disinfect on a Consistent Basis
Your employees will come into contact with a lot of different surfaces throughout the day such as railings and door handles. You can protect your employees by disinfecting these areas consistently. If an asymptomatic employee that does have the coronavirus comes to work, you may be able to lessen the likelihood of other employees getting it if you disinfect your place of business on a consistent basis.
Allow Some of Your Employees to Work From Home
A lot of businesses are now allowing their employees to work remotely during the pandemic. You may want to consider doing this if some of your employees can complete their daily tasks from home. This will protect both the employees that have to come to work and those that are working from their home.
You can do a lot of things to protect your employees during the pandemic. All of the things mentioned above will help you keep your employees safe as much as possible.
